Interfaith dialogue
The world is becoming more complex with each passing day. Religions that were not known, or if known, little understood have become more important. They are not religions based on Jesus, and their tenets do not necessarily follow a Christian set of values. However, these religions like the Muslims, the Jews, the Buddhists, the Hindus and so many other faiths share common principles as well as shared spiritual and moral values. Such values help to form people’s consciences and enlighten reason, providing guidance to thought and behavior, in particular as relations with brothers and sisters of the other religions.
The Cathedral participates annually in the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service held in different Churches, Mosques and Synagogues throughout Grand Rapids.
