Anointing of the Sick (previously known as Extreme Unction) is a sacrament that confers blessed strength on those:

• facing an illness
• confronting an upcoming surgery
• confined to a hospital
• residing in a care facility
• afflicted by the challenges that often accompany advancing age

Contrary to what most may think, one does not have to be dying in order to receive this sacrament. So, when you find yourself in need of the Anointing of the Sick, please call Fr. Steve at 616.456.1454 to make arrangements.

A Mass of Healing is periodically celebrated at the Cathedral. Dates and times are anounced in the bulletin.
